I just wanted to post a quick photo of the wedding suite I've been working on. The bride wanted to incorporate the two cities from which she and her fiance are from (Chicago and London) and the city where they now live (New York City). We ultimately came up with this...
We did a city skyline combining all three of the cities and their major landmarks and buildings. We used a black, gray and aubergine color scheme. I hand cut (with the help of my husband) the envelope liners and bands using aubergine paper. The inner envelopes were printed with the recipient first names, while the outer envelopes were printed with the recipient and return address.
Here they are, ready to go...
This was definitely a challenging, but fun project! Next is seating cards and seating chart :)

The Angry Birds Birthday Party
This year for Nathan's birthday we did an Angry Birds theme. For weeks I pinned ideas for decorations. I think my favorite find was this free download with printable banners, bag toppers, cupcake toppers (that I used as labels), an invitation and even a font! Here are some of the details of the party...
First, this is one of the banners I made using the download. I made two, using card stock and some white cotton twine.

I made Angry Bird "faces" and glued them to these paper lanterns I found at the party store. For a pack of four lanterns it was only $3.00! I got green for the piggies and red for the red bird. I used four of them, one red and three green, to hang above the cupcake table. The rest just hung out on the mantle above the banner.
I used the font and round labels for the favor bags. I printed on large kraft bags to put the party favors in. Then I printed the labels on adhesive paper and cut with a 2" round punch.
Inside the favor bags I included some Angry Bird "eggs". I got some small glassine bags and filled them with Sour Jelly Belly's. They happen to be the perfect colors to match the theme. Then I topped them with the bag toppers from the download (I actually changed the wording to Angry Bird Eggs using Photoshop, they originally say Happy Birthday).
I watched the weather like a hawk for the week before the party. Thunderstorms were forecasted for this day. We were worried about having to cancel the bounce house and have the party inside. So, for a back up plan I printed some Angry Bird coloring pages (which I have pinned), and bought a couple indoor games.
It didn't rain, IT POURED! An hour before the party we called to cancel the bounce house. The kids had a blast nonetheless. They played outside on the playset before the rain started then ended up playing the basement. We didn't need the games, they had fun with each other. Overall, my big boy was very happy and had a great, and memorable, seventh birthday party :)
