The bride wanted to incorporate the two cities from which she and her fiance are from (Chicago and London) and the city where they now live (New York City). We ultimately came up with this...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8781_a-ntBViIUBNj4K5YGiWTG4K_x3GWz_PTZ3EsqAdt1skkS2a0y63kr-QbdzYrD2SguPfRaLTOX9hLeM8AnOJbRnHYTrhmGkhTgDCTZ9D0FjKOx3sKXe0235B2QK4vG6HTe2UzJxkO/s1600/suite+photo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8781_a-ntBViIUBNj4K5YGiWTG4K_x3GWz_PTZ3EsqAdt1skkS2a0y63kr-QbdzYrD2SguPfRaLTOX9hLeM8AnOJbRnHYTrhmGkhTgDCTZ9D0FjKOx3sKXe0235B2QK4vG6HTe2UzJxkO/s640/suite+photo.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
We did a city skyline combining all three of the cities and their major landmarks and buildings. We used a black, gray and aubergine color scheme. I hand cut (with the help of my husband) the envelope liners and bands using aubergine paper. The inner envelopes were printed with the recipient first names, while the outer envelopes were printed with the recipient and return address.<br />
<br />
Here they are, ready to go...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMVUr97dIUhqUq08EVlMvMORseH5lqut2NIfgbHU5osbN5YTIYmpFnI4-thtBbqCI1QJvvSSkKMo9x-OIQ2vSAGvze5bwCTTbbEfJLlX9pYogR1diq2NBkOIcexM1mtnmBmVfBhWs8VA88/s1600/Suite+Package.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMVUr97dIUhqUq08EVlMvMORseH5lqut2NIfgbHU5osbN5YTIYmpFnI4-thtBbqCI1QJvvSSkKMo9x-OIQ2vSAGvze5bwCTTbbEfJLlX9pYogR1diq2NBkOIcexM1mtnmBmVfBhWs8VA88/s640/Suite+Package.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This was definitely a challenging, but fun project! Next is seating cards and seating chart :)Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14452561608583855303noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3943138088007028838.post-81648262943737087142012-04-18T07:49:00.000-07:002012-04-18T07:49:05.383-07:00The Angry Birds Birthday PartyThis year for Nathan's birthday we did an Angry Birds theme. For weeks I <a href="https://pinterest.com/jennifer_yamzon/angry-birds-party-ideas/">pinned</a> ideas for decorations. I think my favorite find was this <a href="http://www.sherykdesigns-blog.com/2012/01/free-printable-bithday-kit-angry-birds.html">free download</a> with printable banners, bag toppers, cupcake toppers (that I used as labels), an invitation and even a font! Here are some of the details of the party...<br />
<br />
First, this is one of the banners I made using the download. I made two, using card stock and some white cotton twine.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgrfQOWPKxXXUWn9nX_Ei1r4LZ4CRqQNrwytIzsnEM6NpP82ajNiTlZxZdwk19DWzTh_a3JUjjj9IGe8DmoN5d1xbkskf74pINmODB1v2XlojKk6xhpIwjsKZDfZYeadp6coC09IKG96Gn/s1600/Banner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgrfQOWPKxXXUWn9nX_Ei1r4LZ4CRqQNrwytIzsnEM6NpP82ajNiTlZxZdwk19DWzTh_a3JUjjj9IGe8DmoN5d1xbkskf74pINmODB1v2XlojKk6xhpIwjsKZDfZYeadp6coC09IKG96Gn/s400/Banner.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I made Angry Bird "faces" and glued them to these paper lanterns I found at the party store. For a pack of four lanterns it was only $3.00! I got green for the piggies and red for the red bird. I used four of them, one red and three green, to hang above the cupcake table. The rest just hung out on the mantle above the banner.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY-dDLhxTRKev8AvSbM0jsUGVrKS7eKZ-RvQ38NS9yPDp5YicgHwrcEwt_2a_to3P6g31xbkf5o_pCF9rKEfwdlJfaq3ieraHvAeBnHhyphenhyphenmOlzHy8aZt09nywQUfa6KrvvQ35giUx_CVI5S/s1600/Banner_Lanterns.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY-dDLhxTRKev8AvSbM0jsUGVrKS7eKZ-RvQ38NS9yPDp5YicgHwrcEwt_2a_to3P6g31xbkf5o_pCF9rKEfwdlJfaq3ieraHvAeBnHhyphenhyphenmOlzHy8aZt09nywQUfa6KrvvQ35giUx_CVI5S/s400/Banner_Lanterns.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB5xNFwZf7SUksmVKwDD1IO4uPz23oCzqAaPXgRNRuJHu-BH2SI03427ooI9xJU4p65dFGeeFw5WUDtbO3W03W6bYOorzOOKWBV3mraFnNd-G7I95EWcbsLOenR87MozlyVW67kKqgz-bc/s1600/Lanterns+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB5xNFwZf7SUksmVKwDD1IO4uPz23oCzqAaPXgRNRuJHu-BH2SI03427ooI9xJU4p65dFGeeFw5WUDtbO3W03W6bYOorzOOKWBV3mraFnNd-G7I95EWcbsLOenR87MozlyVW67kKqgz-bc/s400/Lanterns+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used the font and round labels for the favor bags. I printed on <a href="http://www.parcelandpaper.com/product/kraft-paper-bags-set-of-20">large kraft bags</a> to put the party favors in. Then I printed the labels on adhesive paper and cut with a 2" round punch.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrfD6rRxCota2jsz30DdERLwV-bpHkyQQaDkI4gFzjUISzBo14zKTpJTHk4ulo1j-PJZwEcDwmznGQsnBFFosJv7WJF22tk8Sl3z2VO4OsVECBx_rwWxE2gAzdEgAkLXGbxjxEm-bFBZ7X/s1600/Goodie+Bags+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrfD6rRxCota2jsz30DdERLwV-bpHkyQQaDkI4gFzjUISzBo14zKTpJTHk4ulo1j-PJZwEcDwmznGQsnBFFosJv7WJF22tk8Sl3z2VO4OsVECBx_rwWxE2gAzdEgAkLXGbxjxEm-bFBZ7X/s400/Goodie+Bags+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHeqSZ7b-6HqW7j6kEDx7Ae2aYfaI5dE74JZqHUs8MbBy_KbbmpyaZG2tVNxGJmcXmyS6GaahXXuRn-fxmOt9hQ_FXG0F9c6PToqQS-c4M3Fkwer45CVZyjkvp8oK8C6kcesk0MZXgzuyU/s1600/Goodie+Bags+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHeqSZ7b-6HqW7j6kEDx7Ae2aYfaI5dE74JZqHUs8MbBy_KbbmpyaZG2tVNxGJmcXmyS6GaahXXuRn-fxmOt9hQ_FXG0F9c6PToqQS-c4M3Fkwer45CVZyjkvp8oK8C6kcesk0MZXgzuyU/s400/Goodie+Bags+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Inside the favor bags I included some Angry Bird "eggs". I got some <a href="http://www.parcelandpaper.com/product/glassine-bags">small glassine bags</a> and filled them with Sour Jelly Belly's. They happen to be the perfect colors to match the theme. Then I topped them with the bag toppers from the download (I actually changed the wording to Angry Bird Eggs using Photoshop, they originally say Happy Birthday).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1BTSN1ZTmdEfCW_3Gi-DtG0NlVrWeXxLO7uSO8xmJVTqQhyiT03N9ZB8hmKmNYetxKZvU7ThLYYi6iQVLh7KxYNlJD8gw20LKbDUwbj0b_rSbgwAkzs2vu2IhJHFURVWu2X3ZwnFxvG00/s1600/Favors+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1BTSN1ZTmdEfCW_3Gi-DtG0NlVrWeXxLO7uSO8xmJVTqQhyiT03N9ZB8hmKmNYetxKZvU7ThLYYi6iQVLh7KxYNlJD8gw20LKbDUwbj0b_rSbgwAkzs2vu2IhJHFURVWu2X3ZwnFxvG00/s400/Favors+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I watched the weather like a hawk for the week before the party. Thunderstorms were forecasted for this day. We were worried about having to cancel the bounce house and have the party inside. So, for a back up plan I printed some Angry Bird coloring pages (which I have pinned), and bought a couple indoor games. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It didn't rain, IT POURED! An hour before the party we called to cancel the bounce house. The kids had a blast nonetheless. They played outside on the playset before the rain started then ended up playing the basement. We didn't need the games, they had fun with each other. Overall, my big boy was very happy and had a great, and memorable, seventh birthday party :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

We've been super busy around here with moving to a new state, lots of DIY projects around the house (by my handy husband), lots of orders to fill and ship, not to mention the fact I'm doing this with a bun in the oven!<br /><br />But I just wanted to take a minute to introduce you to my latest venture :: another <a href="http://www.parcelandpaper.etsy.com/">Etsy shop</a>! Since I started <a href="http://www.thestationeryboutique.com/">The Stationery Boutique </a>I've accumulated not only a ton of inventory but also inspiration. I've been very inspired by other handmade sellers to take presentation and packaging to a different level. I have become obsessed with kraft paper and <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/parcelandpaper?section_id=6963669">bakers twine</a> for starters. I decided to open a little shop to provide others with the supplies needed to create lovely packages. My new shop, <a href="http://www.parcelandpaper.etsy.com/">Parcel + Paper</a>, will have goodies such as mini envelopes, kraft and colored envelopes, labels, colored bakers twine, cello bags, and other fun stuff.<br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465566976785963154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 53px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoK2x0r9OgjBjhMnBuzQV-GvMZjjgzmmCMGbJJ2U8FWx7IgFbxSU24ljBm7gCsrQhFXVIp9g6nj1oUgAxOoWUG60M8yh9j8elVBpxcRgDoZMEIilA5kmy-Xl_YBe08tsglGXLiz5N-l-xX/s400/Etsy+Banner+2+copy.jpg" border="0" /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465567335117920930" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 268px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-EO8zBIVfuBj_KFyN3GYUom9VTMYYGXK3AnpQgyIoN6uAxj1eidnpP6xvit0QK3z1m3BwooXTWnV6i55JmWBQnoULYHEem15_ckHKyJ-CefSDAkrYi81EIfd58xfS_4aCnxDIY9rExDnG/s400/GWBT+4+(400+x+268).jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465568012895867666" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 268px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwys7n6B_Y-W9qOj2NZYS9WKNBjh-C6AlmJ1NWkEnp-m21URNXsI2g8fEgW7Y0uFhlgLyQ7iBpDde3lj2jpCPrFrbaRc3K5X4thXuCddOzKS_AFlLoeNXUxVPyIznsasq4Z-Gyu4Rdih81/s400/BC+2+(400+x+268).jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465567808669529282" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 268px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0iJto5XM2TTxHp5wpjlgWMMIhhUBIrb3MeL3NJ4C0et3SYUEKhe6IY2_IQN4Ne_7a0a_k6xuiUrVQ2WK4eoPANQsLBYprq1Ps-zUenZSgDyACCSZh_8L5q24Q395Eu8JknnY6aB8YFSRr/s400/K4B+1+(400+x+268).jpg" border="0" /><br />I'm still in the beginning stages, but have already had three sales since opening on April 15th. I've have many requests for different colors of the invite. I just recently did a set for a baby girl shower in pink. And a neutral set for another shower where the sex of the baby isn't known yet. She's having her shower at a French cafe, so we went with a bold, bright yellow with red and green accents.<br /><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5406336530959419842" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 250px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5F1-ZSP0tNkHAKbChKPBvI8PTCRvtWhf5JKv_4DVZq442l-Y7bAeI4NswOSVzT2EVhLuTuTfQqfNZwadfnd29cWcnJmx_WkYohH6_a0zHKrx2Uu-R_8VIY4rAZqajEr3dxQSucxryG8B6/s400/And+Baby+Makes+Three+Shower+Invitaitons-1.jpg" border="0" /><br /><div>Another set, that is quite special to me was designed for my cousin. At first she was just interested in the invites and the response cards. Now I will be creating all the stationery involved in her 2010 summer wedding. Including the invitations and response cards, wedding programs, escort cards, thank you cards, and I just finished the save the date cards. I love the colors, very summery. This set includes a 5.5 x 4.25 save the date card with a coordinating accomodations card, an A2 moss green envelope, a coordinating recipient address label and return address printing on the back flap of the envelope.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389624646932323538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 250px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj8-HEJ-TePDXKvv9yRF_zgmp4ejSElAjHNzMSoRlCoBns5Ea7_bPfXmkzjHmigDVQnYn4sk3WjnHS8-L3XI1-xCtJbVE0gLy0XH7KX8YyuRlK_P3ViCa0G7MAe9xxiCmT1cb6jhlLkdGm/s400/Green+Bloom+Save+the+Date+Cards.jpg" border="0" />You can see more pictures <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jenniferkyamzon/sets/72157622531851420/">here</a>. He is my son Nathan's best friend. Cooper is a sweet, fun loving, active, four-year-old boy with severe allergies. Any exposure to any form of nuts or oranges will send him into anaphylactic shock, which can lead to death in a matter of minutes. To prevent future occurances and potential death, Cooper's family would like a specially trained service dog that will protect Cooper by detecting minute traces of nuts and oranges. A service dog will help Cooper attend school without the worry of accidentally ingesting foods he is allergic to.<br /><br />In order for Cooper's family to obtain a special service dog, they first need to raise over $10,000 to cover the costs of the specialized training the dog will undergo. Anyone can make a contribution to Cooper's Dog Fund at any Chase Bank (formally known as Washington Mutual Bank) care of Cooper Giron. For more information about Cooper and his allergies, visit his blog at <a href="http://www.coopersdog.blogspot.com/">http://www.coopersdog.blogspot.com/</a>.<br /><br />To do my part, I designed a special set of note cards that I will sell in my <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=29563805">Etsy shop</a> and my <a href="http://www.thestationeryboutique.com/item_183/COOPERS-DOG-Folded-Note-Cards--Set-of-16.htm">Main shop</a> and will donate proceeds towards the funding of Cooper's Dog. Her wedding will be in January. I just finished making her save the date cards (110 of them!) and I love how they turned out. She wanted to use birch trees (in Russia, they represent good luck) so we incorporated them into the design. So with shades of blue and gray we came up with these.</div><div></div><br /><div>They are printed on a thick, textured cardstock with coordinating envelopes. I am really happy with how they came out. I can't wait to get started on the wedding invitations and the RSVP cards.
